Norfolk beach named among the 20 greatest in Britain
Brancaster beach was praised by The Telegraph as “perfect for shell-collecting, kite-flying, sand-castling, horse-riding and dog walking”.
The coastal site was described by the publication as surrounded by “a morass of creaks, sandbanks and salt marshes that are brilliant for birds”.

The village is home to The White Horse which recently won the title of best restaurant in Norfolk at the 2024 Muddy Awards.
The Crab Hut, which sells fresh lobster, crab, cockles and crayfish, is also a popular spot in the village and was named one of the best foodie spots in Europe by The Guardian.

Among the “dune-backed golden sand” is the historical site where training for the D-Day landings took place alongside the Royal West Norfolk Golf Club which was founded in 1892.
The village, which was noted for not being too overcrowded, can be visited by Coasthopper bus or on foot along the Norfolk Coast Path.
