Arsenal icon slams Man Utd

Cesc Fabregas says “it’s no coincidence” three players have had their careers ruined playing at Manchester United.

The Arsenal and Chelsea icon believes Casemiro, Jadon Sancho and Sofyan Amrabat have all taken a nose-dive in form since moving to Old Trafford.

Fabregas said: “Manchester United will come back because they are a big team but look at Jadon Sancho.

“He’s not doing well at United, he goes to Dortmund and he looks again like the player we all thought he was going to be.

“Look at the midfielder that impressed for Morocco at the World Cup [Amrabat], he was fantastic. And then he goes to Man United and he’s not been the same player.

“Casemiro won Champions League after Champions League at Real Madrid.

“He was the best defensive midfielder in the world and then he goes to Manchester United and looks like a completely different player.

“Obviously it makes me think that something is wrong there. It’s not a coincidence that three top, top players come in and they are not good all of a sudden.”

EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal to sell Nketiah

Arsenal are reluctantly set to let Eddie Nketiah leave the club this summer, SunSport can reveal.

The 24-year-old is highly rated by Gunners boss Mikel Arteta, but he is desperate for first team football.

Now after learning he is set to fall further down the pecking order, Nketiah is set to try and secure a move before the start of the season.

SunSport can reveal that Fulham are in pole position and would be willing to pay up to £30million for the striker.

But they are likely to see competition from Crystal Palace and Wolves.

Everton are also interested in a potential year long loan – an option which could appeal to Arsenal because they are reluctant to let him leave.

The Gunners have been notoriously poor sellers in recent years, but there are hopes that, if any clubs want Nketiah, they can start a bidding war that can drive the final price for him to decent levels.

That would also free up cash for Arsenal who are determined to sign RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko during the summer transfer window.

Arsenal and Chelsea ‘block’ stars from Olympics

Arsenal and Chelsea blocked three stars from joining Thierry Henry’s France team ahead of the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

According to The Mirror, Arsenal’s record goalscorer wanted William Saliba in his defence but Mikel Arteta refused to let his top centre-back compete for his country.

Chelsea’s new boss Enzo Maresca also needs time to implement his ideas and thus decided against letting Malo Gusto and Benoit Badiashile link up with Henry.

However, there was a compromise as Maresca allowed Lesley Ugochukwu to travel to his homeland as he needs minutes to regain essential form.

Fulham target Smith Rowe

Emile Smith Rowe has emerged as a major target for Fulham, according to reports.

The Arsenal star, 23, has struggled for game time during the last two seasons.

Smith Rowe started just three Premier League matches last term and could depart the Emirates for further opportunities.

According to the Telegraph, swooping for Smith Rowe has been made a “priority” by Fulham transfer chiefs.

Marco Silva’s side are keen to bolster their attacking options amid potential departures.

Arsenal share message to Campbell

Arsenal have shared a heartfelt message to former player Kevin Campbell who is “very unwell” in hospital.

In a post on X, the North London club said it was “sending love” to the 54-year-old and his family.

The statement said: “Everyone at the club is sending love to Kevin Campbell and his family, following news that our former striker is very unwell.

“We’re thinking of you.”

It is unclear what Campbell’s illness is.

Bayern target Zinchenko

Bayern Munich are reportedly monitoring Arsenal’s Oleksandr Zinchenko.

New manager Vincent Kompany could make his former team-mate his first signing in Germany.

The Mirror claim Zinchenko has emerged as a target for Bayern if Alphonso Davies leaves the club.

The Ukrainian has been linked with an Arsenal exit after falling behind Jakub Kiwior and Takehiro Tomiyasu in the pecking order.
