Scout Selection: Best FPL team for Gameweek 15

Must read

A visit to Brighton & Hove Albion gives Bryan Mbeumo (£7.1m) the chance to reward his huge number of new owners in Fantasy Premier League.

The Brentford star can be found in over 32 per cent of squads, having earned over 813,000 transfers in for Gameweek 14.

Mbeumo’s assist against Luton Town last weekend took his tally to six goals and four assists for the season. That highlights his all-round potential against Brighton, who are one of only three sides yet to keep a clean sheet.

Mbeumo is named in a best XI that line up in a 3-5-2 formation, with Erling Haaland (£14.0m) handed the armband and Mohamed Salah (£13.1m) named as vice-captain.

Caoimhin Kelleher (Liverpool) £3.9m

The Irishman is set to retain his role in Liverpool’s starting XI in the absence of their injured No 1 Alisson (£5.6m). Kelleher can provide a big source of value against a Sheffield United side who suffered a 5-0 loss at Burnley last weekend.

Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) £7.0m

An assist, a clean sheet and three bonus points against Manchester United helped the Newcastle United right-back extend his lead at the top of the defender standings. Trippier’s multiple routes to returns can continue rewarding his 50 per cent ownership against Everton.

William Saliba (Arsenal) £5.5m

The centre-back is selected instead of team-mate Oleksandr Zinchenko (£5.1m) due to his security of starts over the midweek round of matches. Arsenal visit Luton with the best away record in the league, conceding only three goals in six fixtures.

Craig Dawson (Wolves) £4.5m

Wolverhampton Wanderers’ centre-back has the goal threat at free-kicks and corners to trouble Burnley at Molineux. The Clarets have struggled to defend aerial situations, placing among the worst six sides for conceding both headed shots and shots from set-pieces in 2023/24.

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) £13.1m

A visit to Sheffield United gives Liverpool’s Egyptian the chance to extend his relentless run of form in Fantasy. Salah has blanked only twice all season thanks to his all-round output, combining 10 goals with six assists to top the player standings on 111 points.

Son Heung-min (Spurs) £9.6m

Tottenham Hotspur’s talisman welcomes West Ham United on the back of his fifth double-figure haul of the season against Manchester City last weekend. Son has averaged 7.8 points per match since being moved up front in Gameweek 4.

Martin Odegaard (Arsenal) £8.3m

Arsenal’s playmaker has scored in back-to-back matches in all competitions ahead of his visit to Luton. Odegaard produced his season-high six key passes and three big chances against Wolves on Saturday, highlighting his big potential for goals and assists.

Bryan Mbeumo (Brentford) £7.1m

Mbeumo’s 13 shots and seven shots in the box both rank among the top three midfielders in Fantasy over the last four Gameweeks.

Hwang Hee-chan (Wolves) £5.6m

A single blank in six home appearances underlines the South Korean’s influence on Wolves’ attack at Molineux. Hwang can extend that run against a Burnley side who have lost their last three away matches.

Erling Haaland (Man City) £14.0m

His huge goal threat on the road helps earn the Manchester City forward the captaincy against Aston Villa. In away matches this season, Haaland’s 30 shots in the box and 19 big chances are both at least 10 more than any other player in Fantasy.

Joao Pedro (Brighton) £5.3m

The Brazilian hosts Brentford on the back of four goals in Brighton’s last three matches across all competitions. Having featured as a substitute against Chelsea on Sunday, Joao Pedro looks set to return to the Seagulls’ first XI on Wednesday.
