Top Five Games of NFL Week 14

With just two teams on bye this week, there are 14 NFL games taking place between Sunday afternoon and Monday night. Before placing your bets, make sure to take a look at the NFL betting guide to ensure you’re taking advantage of all of the best offers and promotions.

There are just five weeks of regular season football left, which means games are certainly becoming more important. Today, let’s take a look at the top five games on the schedule for Week 14 of the NFL season. All betting lines are courtesy of Caesars Sportsbook as of Friday morning.

Buffalo Bills @ Kansas City Chiefs

People still talk about the infamous playoff game between the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills from two seasons ago. It was one of the more thrilling games in NFL history. Therefore, anytime these two teams and their two young elite quarterbacks meet, it becomes must watch TV.

This week, the Chiefs are 1.5-point home favorites over the Bills. Kansas City lost a crucial game last weekend and now no longer controls their own destiny when it comes to the No. 1 seed in the AFC. Buffalo is sitting in 11th in the conference with 6 wins, and is running out of losses if they want to make the playoffs. Will Buffalo get a huge road win to improve their playoff chances, or will Kansas City do their part in ensuring this dangerous team doesn’t even get to the dance?

Philadelphia Eagles @ Dallas Cowboys

For a second straight week, the Philadelphia Eagles are underdogs. Last week, they were run out of their own building by the San Francisco 49ers. This week, they head to Dallas in a game that will play a large part in deciding the NFC North and NFC playoff seeding. Dallas is a 3.5-point home favorite.

The Eagles are in the midst of a brutal five game stretch that sees them play Dallas twice, Kansas City, Philadelphia and Buffalo. They are 3-1 through the first four games of that stretch, but a lot of those wins were by the skin of their teeth. Since Philadelphia beat Dallas in early November, the Cowboys are 4-0 and have scored an average of 42 points per game in that span.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers @ Atlanta Falcons

It might be the most disgusting division in football, but somebody has to win the NFC South. Currently, the Falcons lead the division at 6-6 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers right behind them at 5-7. If Tampa Bay can pull off the victory as a 1.5-point road underdog, it’ll set up a hell of a race to end the season in the division. If Atlanta can pull out the home victory, they’ll cement themselves in the driver’s seat.

Indianapolis Colts @ Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals sent a loud message to the rest of the NFL that they don’t plan on mailing in the rest of the season even though they’ll be without Joe Burrow. Jake Browning was nearly perfect as the Bengals went on the road and defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Indianapolis Colts are surprisingly 7-5 (and 5-1 on the road!) despite losing their franchise quarterback for the season as well.

There are currently seven teams in the AFC with either six or seven wins. Both of those teams are in that picture. Three of these teams will make the playoffs. The winner of this one will improve their chances, while the loser will take a hit. Oddsmakers have the Bengals as 1.5-point home favorites.

Denver Broncos @ Los Angeles Chargers

This feels like an elimination game for the Chargers, who are 2.5-point home favorites in this game against the Broncos. Denver finds themselves in the mosh pit in the AFC mentioned above at six wins. The Broncos are at five wins, and dropping to 5-8 at this point in the season seems like a death sentence. If Denver can pull off the road upset here, they’ll get a big win for their playoff push. A loss would be killer. It’s a huge game for both teams.
